Woodland Wine Merchant
Woodland Wine Merchant approached us to help design their second location opening in Nashville’s Sylvan Supply complex. The project was a build-out with the goal of creating an efficient space with an exciting and unique character befitting of the mercantile store. The approach was minimal yet effective. A stained wood cladding wraps the back-of-house in a corner of the shop, reminiscent of the barrels used to age wines. The concrete floor is exposed and polished, with visible stone aggregates providing a rustic texture that complements the exposed, white-painted bricks of the exterior facing walls. Custom millwork and light shining down from black spotlights in the exposed, black-painted ceiling make the wine bottles the main focus. The space is rounded out by beautiful signage created by Nashville’s Perky Bros and I Saw the Sign. The result is a cozy, welcoming space with wine taking center stage.
