The Memphian is a 106-room boutique hotel within the Marriot Tribute Portfolio and serves the Overton Square neighborhood of Memphis. Working with local architect Renaissance Group, we provided design consulting for the exterior, interior design, and FF&E services to ensure a strong interior and exterior relationship. The design reflects the storied arts community of the city, including film, performance and visual arts, and music. The eclectic-inspired lobby and restaurant feature a unique oversized fishing bobber chandelier, pattern play, bold colors, and vintage photo art with modern twists. An angled dichroic glass panel wall and elaborate millwork detailings complete the space, giving it a sense of layered discovery. The design inspiration travels throughout the guestrooms and corridors. From your first step onto the antelope print carpet to the moment you lay down in each of the room concepts, the Memphian has a way of making you feel excited, inspired, and at home.
