Soho House Nashville

Soho House Nashville, a standout in our work on Nashville’s May Hosiery Mills complex, is a visually captivating space that pays homage to the charm of local artistry and the timeless value of restoration and preservation. More than just a destination, it is a community hub that celebrates history, craftsmanship, and Nashville’s ever-evolving culture! Occupying both the oldest and newest buildings on the May Hosiery campus, Soho House couldn’t have landed in a more quintessentially “Nashville” location, perfectly aligned with their commitment to hyper-localizing each of their houses. One of the most distinctive design features included positioning the entrance to Soho House not directly off of the street, but at what would traditionally be considered the rear of the property. This thoughtful approach guides visitors into the heart of May Hosiery, leading them through alleys, covered pathways, and spaces curated for the public, ultimately bringing them to the welcoming entrance of the community-focused club. Soho House demonstrated a strong commitment to preservation by having the pool and outdoor area designed around a towering, existing elm tree, and by making sure to maintain the original buildings’ character - evoking the industrial grit that defines May Hosiery. Their efforts not only contributed to saving the historic structure from demolition, but also celebrated its rich legacy. This thoughtful approach stands as a true win for both the city of Nashville and Soho House’s extraordinary brand.
