Built into a gentle hillside in Forest Hills, the Stanford Residence is an efficient exercise in restraint and intelligent planning. We often say that sometimes the best design is invisible, and this new construction residence is an excellent example. Clean detailing is executed through a concise material palette. Vast expanses of steel windows maximize the connection from interior spaces to exterior views, taking full advantage of the natural wooded surroundings. Views of nature find their way into the rooms, even seen between the steps of the primary staircase. Refined interiors feature minimal trim detailing, custom casework, furniture, and lighting. This is the second residence that we designed for this client. The home has been featured in Dwell Magazine, Interior Design Magazine, and Nashville Lifestyles.
