Spero Dei
After years of continued growth, the nomadic congregation of Spero Dei was ready to find a physical space to call home. An old, derelict church was purchased, and the Dryden team was brought on to renovate the building into a suitable house of worship that would become a neighborhood jewel and a center for community building. The existing sanctuary hall was rehabilitated with new seating—exposing the wood and steel ceiling structure—and through the creation of a new stage for sermons and musical performances. Efforts were made to preserve and reuse existing elements, such as the unique pendants in the sanctuary and vintage rounded windows. New elements were also added, including a new entry, a covered gathering area, and a beautiful cupola to act as a beacon of light. We are so excited to have been a part of this project, which gave this property a second life.
