Radish Kitchen is a fast-casual dining restaurant founded by Amanda Frederickson. This tenant build-out is located in Aspen Grove in Franklin, TN. We worked with the existing building space from the 1950s and found creative solutions to acknowledge the raw elements and materials of the space. Using the column grid as a guide, we created a sense of flow throughout the space to guide customers. Inspired by the owner's West Coast and Southern Florida background, we melded interior design elements that paid homage to her roots. A prime example is the breeze blocks, typical of Southern Florida, which here compose a half-height wall separating dining space from circulation. Details such as light wood millwork, abstract colorful murals, and the integration of branding colors round up the design, resulting in an area that feels as fresh and light as the food Radish Kitchen serves.
