Old Smyrna Residence
We were so delighted when this client reached out to us. Having worked on the original design of their home and a second time for the addition of a pool house, we were grateful to have their trust a third time—this time for an addition to the residence.
Surrounded by a beautifully lush landscape, the design took advantage of this natural privacy screen. Large windows and tall ceilings flood the new primary bedroom and bathroom with light. The leaves on the trees cast dappling shadows—an ever-changing pattern over the hardwood and stone floors. Though the color palette is relatively neutral, the textures of the wood, the stone, and the irregular backsplash tiles in the bathroom add a sensorial richness to the space. Externally, the addition was designed to mesh seamlessly with the existing home. We were honored to have been chosen a third time by our client. It has been a privilege to see and be a part of the continuing evolution of their home. In all projects, the relationships we forge through the collaborative design process are as meaningful as the spaces born from them.
