Milo Restaurant
Dryden provided interior design services for this lovely restaurant down in Waco, Texas. The clean interiors and white walls serve as a canvas for the potted plants, bottles, and table settings throughout. Light from glazed garage doors bounces throughout the space. Despite the lack of traditional windows, the space does not lack natural light. Pops of color liven the space in select locations: blue tiles at the bar and a blush tone on the ceiling’s structural elements. The blue and blush colors appear once again on select seating items—the blue lounge chairs in the living room-like space by the entry and the blush-colored metal chairs around a few round tables. Texture adds a second layer of depth to the space. A dropped ceiling composed of thin wood planks, diagonal reveals on select walls and ceiling moments, geometric green tiles/polished concrete floors, and the rusted barn door by the entrance all serve to add touches of warmth to the space. Whether dining in or picking up a coffee to go, Milo’s design offers you a peaceful and light-filled experience.
