ElàMar is an upscale esthetics boutique at Sylvan Supply in Nashville, TN. Our team was challenged to create an affordable, high-end space that was welcoming and embraced elements of wabi-sabi. While the space is monochromatic, its blush tones are distinguished by a variety of textures. Terrazzo tiles cover the lobby floor. A custom, poured-in-place, colored concrete desk with glass and aggregate extends the floor’s materiality upwards. Portola paint with a Roman Clay finish provides a plaster-like texture for chosen moments, such as the alcove behind the main desk and at the treatment stations. Unique, warm lighting fixtures, a pink-rusted mirror, and the comfortable sofa and custom leather booths with blush-toned fleece blankets soften the space. The result is an intimate, calming space where clients feel at ease, allowing staff to provide the best treatment experience possible.
