Stepping through the doors of Bearded Iris, one enters into a unique experience that collages an old-world feel with urban aesthetics. A Sylvan Supply tenant build-out, this is the Brewery’s second location in Nashville. The client envisioned a space that would simultaneously serve their brewing needs while offering guests a comfortable area to drink and socialize. The resulting design celebrates its features the instant one walks in. Custom brass brewing equipment with a vintage feel is proudly displayed on the background of the graffitied wall, velvet drapes provide an intimate atmosphere, and the space is made whole by a multitude of finely crafted details: a brass logo inlaid in the floor, custom serpentine banquets in tan leather and blue velvet, touches of brass, a green marble bar top, and custom millwork. The result proves that code and site constraints don’t have to limit the success of a design.
